The studio sits in central Gdańsk at ul. Lisia Grobla 7, part of the newly built DOKI development. It shares its building with a hotel and the Montownia food hall. The name RasoirArt Studio comes from French and means the art of the razor.
Opposite the entrance is the reception, with a waiting area behind it for guests waiting for their appointment. The barber zone runs to the left, the tattoo zone to the right. The studio also has a separate training area for course participants.
The interior blends elegance with the industrial character of the Gdańsk Shipyard surroundings. The design is eclectic, with clear loft accents. Beige, brown, black and gold dominate, and red accents give the space character and underline its uniqueness.
The project is rooted in the history and needs of the people around barbering and tattooing: clients, artists and craftspeople. The space is divided into zones for specific specialisations and shared areas where the two trades meet.
Barbers get room to develop advanced techniques of cutting, beard shaping and facial care, while tattooists gain a space that draws people who share the same passion. The main goal is to build a meeting place for people with common interests. The studio sets out to show that a tattoo and an original haircut are ways of expressing yourself, not something that needs approval. Splitting the layout into specialisation zones and shared areas raises visitors' awareness of both fields and naturally brings the two communities closer together.
